Dog Anxiety Awareness Week | May 5–11

This week, let’s take a moment to focus on our furry companions’ emotional well-being. Dogs give us a lifetime of loyalty — let’s give them more love in return. ❤️🐾

Just like humans, dogs can suffer from anxiety. Dr Jaclyn shares some insights to help us understand and support our pets:

🔹 Common Triggers:
Loud noises (e.g., fireworks, thunderstorms), separation, past trauma (such as abuse, neglect, or poor socialisation)

🔹 Signs of Anxiety:
Pacing, excessive barking, destructive behaviour, aggression, or clinginess

🔹 How to Help:
Behavioural training – desensitisation techniques, positive reinforcement
Holistic approaches – calming supplements, soothing music, pheromone therapy
Medical support – consult your vet for severe or persistent anxiety

Let’s work together to create a calmer, happier world for our dogs. 💛🐶
